Manic Tuesday, because Monday Was A Holiday

I have no excuse other than "it was a holiday and I didn't even get to the computer." Is that lame enough?

I also have no time this morning to give a good list, so here are the highlights of the new releases this week:

Some Townes Van Zandt reissues.
Etta James - Blues From The Big Apple
Taj Mahal - World Blues
Crosby & Nash - Bittersweet
Pink Floyd - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn [40th anniversary 2-cd edition]
Patty Scialfa - Play It As It Lays
Ted Nugent - Love Grenade

New Taj is always good! Any idea what's on disc 2 of the Floyd?

I forgot to add something I found out today at work about the Floyd. This kind of irks me...
there are two discs..one is mono and the other is stereo. That is the big 40th anniversary deal? (I didn't see the liner notes, so I don't know how expanded those might be.)

I read in Mojo magazine that the mono versions are far superior to the stereo ones (which kinda 'blanded them out' apparently), and that there's a particularly rocking 'restored to mono' version of Interstellar Overdrive on the new disc.

The new stuff also includes 'Candy and a Currant Bun' and 'Apples and Oranges'.

Ahhh, so that may be worth buying!
